Marcell Elementary School Home

Principal's Message

Marcell Elementary is committed to the belief that student success is based on high expectations, hard work, good communication and commitment from teachers, parents, students and administrators. In order to ensure that our students meet their goals, we have implemented a structured learning environment whereby students have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to become college and career ready. As such, Marcell students will be challenged to develop problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills necessary for academic and personal success. Parental participation and support is critical to ensuring the success of all students. Ensuring attendance at school is the first step a parent can take in providing a strong education. Also, parents are encouraged to maintain communication with their son/daughter’s teachers, counselors and administrators regarding their son/daughter’s progress at school. We also invite parents to participate in school activities such as Progress Report/Curriculum Nights, P.T.O programs, the health hair, and parent information sessions presented by the campus Parental Liaison Coordinator, Ms. Josefina Ybarra. I look forward to getting to know you and working with you to meet your child’s educational needs. Don’t hesitate to contact our campus if you have any questions.
